New visualisations reveal Szczecin’s modern velodrome!

A unique sports complex that blends tradition with modernity is set to rise on the site of a historic cycling track dating back to 1925. The new facility will be built within the preserved historic concrete track, which will remain an integral part of the design.

At its heart will be a fully covered, 250-metre wooden cycling track, compliant with all international standards, accompanied by an auditorium for 750 spectators, with the option of adding temporary stands for a further 1,000 seats. The complex will also feature multipurpose sports courts, training zones, VIP lounges, a restaurant, a spinning studio, and comprehensive facilities for both professional athletes and amateur enthusiasts.

The preserved outdoor concrete track is intended to function primarily as a training facility for both amateur and professional cyclists, usable year-round in favourable weather conditions, and fully accessible to riders with disabilities. The new indoor wooden velodrome, built to the latest international standards, will enable all-weather training and host competitions at local, national, and international levels.
